The Scottish League enters its 4th year in 2014. Each year we have been able to add a new host and venue to the schedule, and 2014 is no exception with Falkirk club hosting. There are some changes to the format of the competition with the number of FoG-R rounds increasing to two, and some tighter themes for both FoG-AM and FoG-R.

Larkman02 Oct 2013 2:47 a.m. PST

The provisional schedule is

15th Feb Perth FoG-R Early Period
17th May Elgin FoG-AM Open
29th June Falkirk FoG-R Late Period
13th Sept Harburn FoG-AM Classical
12th Oct Glasgow FoG-AM Dark Ages

Competition dates will be confirmed shortly.
Confirmed date ranges for themes will be announced shortly.
FoG-AM periods will be varied each year so that all periods will be played on rotation.

Team entries of up to three competitors will be accepted, competing for the overall team competition. Note that no individual may compete as a member of more than one team during the year. The individual overall title will be decided on the best three results. The team title will be the total of the best four team results.

Where possible team members will not be drawn against each other, members of the same club will not be drawn against each other in the first game of each round, and for the first game in each round players will not be be drawn against anyone they've played in a previous Scottish League 2014 event. Family members will not be drawn against each other in any round.

Competition details are

· Each round will consist of three games, each lasting a maximum of 2hrs 20min, plus a random 0-10 minutes.

· Maximum army size is 650pts.

o No piece can be bigger than 9MU in any direction

o No double size pieces may be used

o No terrain piece can be placed (prior to adjustment) closer than 3MU's to any other piece except as listed in the rules on page 140

Contact Alan Cutner (alan.cutner@gmail.com) for further information.

o If a 5 or 6 is rolled for placing a terrain piece, the distance from the appropriate edge is reduced to 6MU rather than 8MU

· FoG-AM deployment is at 8MU and 12MU inches rather than the usual 10MU and 15MU. FoG-R deployment distances will be announced shortly.

Bah – FoG … no-one in the home country playing DBMM…

Larkman02 Oct 2013 5:31 a.m. PST

If you can raise enough people wanting to play a DBMM 1-day tournament I'd be more than happy to include it within the Scottish League.
