Let me first thank everyone for the many kind words for A Game of Fire and Ice. It had long been my belief that if we could recast basic DBX mechanics in a more historian/general gamer friendly presentation, it might introduce a whole new generation to the merits of the basic concepts.

Many people have asked about the alternative history campaign putting exiled Lancastrians in the New World. Its based on my short story The Knight of the New World and the Questing Beast. I've put a copy of the story out on Wargames Vault as a gaming "supplement" to provide more background for those wanting to run this campaign.

I'll be running a Westeros based campaign using Fire and Ice at Siege of Augusta next week (Saturday Jan 14, 7pm- till whenever). Great way to learn DBX mechanics if your just starting.

And who does not want to sit the Iron Throne after a night of great gaming?

(Armies provided but you can bring your own 25mm army based on any of the Great Houses of Westeros.)

Thanks again for all the support – and here's wishing you great gaming in the New Year.
