I'm seeing if there is any interest in movement trays that would allow people with 20mm based units to play FOG without re-basing them. If the new conversion bases were 50% bigger, then they would have space to put 20mm square bases into holes/depressions into the trays. Everything would still be proportional so in theory it would work out. I think you could up the MU from 1 to 1.5 to keep anything in proportion. Cavalry 25mm x 50mm bases should work out well too.

The only flaw, is that both players would need conversion bases to be the same size. Conversion bases could be used to make those already based for FOG bigger, to mach up with the 20mm conversion trays.

I've thought about making some for myself and friends. Just wondering if others think that would be something they would like too.

I think that the recommended base sizes for 25mm FoG uses a 60mm frontage anyway, so perhaps there is a rationale for making bases to accommodate 2 x 20mm blocks?

Other than that I suspect that building a business case around creating a new, non-standard basing format for a ruleset that is 5+ years old and so has probably already converted all of the WaB-based players it's ever going to convert anyway may not prove to be a commercial winner..

By the roaring sound of crickets I got the info I was looking for rather quickly. I know that I have a friend and that was our main issue not to get into it. I saw that they have version 2.0 out, which got me thinking again.

Since it's just for me then, basswood and a hobby knife is as far as I need to go.
