I'm painting up a Dacian army for Field of Glory and first out of the box are 24 bases of falxmen. If you'd like a bit of Dacian history mixed with paint talk, click over to my blog here. I should mention that almost all the figures I'll use are Old Glory 15s, and they're quite good figures to boot.

Lot to be said in favour of Dacians – nicely done. Working on my last falx band in 28mm – as I suspect that 18mm is a bit beyond me now! Also liked your Pontic chaps. Just looking at what figures I should use for my Pontic guard cavalry in 28mm Garry |

Thanks fellows! Mithridates, you have a great memory. I'd love to paint some of these armies in 28mm one day. Unfortunately, everyone around here does ancients in 15mm. Good luck on your Pontics and don't forget to post them! Caliban, you know me well. Our club has 4 fellows running Romans so I've been painting the Anti-Roman armies. Let's see how this one fares. |

Lovely work. I've done some of these OG Dacians and I think they are some of their best figures.
Unfortunately you've also reminded me that I have a rather large number sitting around waiting to be painted. |
