G'day,
Just uploaded some photos of some 10mm Lizardmen that I painted. Also update on Song of Fur and Buttons and Nuthin' But Net.

Cheers,
Ben.

How did you decide on 10mm as a scale?

Boromirandkermit08 Mar 2009 6:44 p.m. PST

Well, I have smatterings of 28mm, 15mm and 10mm models, so I wouldn't say I chose it exclusively. :)

I do like 10mm because it looks good en masse. Plus I enjoy Warmaster, so if I was going to paint that many models to run it, I might as well get use out of them in other games as well – for example MA and HOTT. Sort of multi-use.

In addition, I just really like the GW 10mm Lizardmen.

So, I suppose that kind of answers your question does it? :)

I game Song of Blades, BB, NBN and LotR in 28mm and MA/HOTT also in 15mm so the 10mm is for a gaming purpose… sorry I've rambled.

Ben.

We've just started playing Wrmaster again in my group and I'm sort of dreading getting back to painting 10mm Dwarves. Your stuff looks marvelous, by the way. I wish somebody around here had gotten a Lizardman army back when the models were reasonably priced.

Didn't they nearly double a unit blister's price? Seems like they were around $8 USD originally and now they're, what, about $15/unit?

nazrat08 Mar 2009 8:43 p.m. PST

Yes, they did. I was in a store in Columbia, SC yesterday and they had a whole bunch of blisters of Warmaster stuff and all for eight bucks a pop. I used to think that a bit much, but now it seemed like a complete steal!

If they had had any Skaven stuff I would have bought it up in a trice.

I was lucky enough to get alot of my Warmaster stuff through Chaos Orc quite cheaply. Thank god because I thought I'd missed out when they doubled the price!

Here's a link to where I bought them.

Thanks for the kind words on the painting – they were actually really fun to paint! :)

Cheers,
Ben.
