Based up 130 points of 28mm Elamites for To The Strongest.

I was keen to see how the army would look assembled (not yet painted) and what foot print the army would take on 6x4 foot table with Impetus size (15cm grid) bases. Table in photos is 5 foot 5 inches x 3 foot. So army will be wall to wall on 6x4 table. May be ok but not I imagine, lot of room for terrain etc?? Table width has forced units into reserve which may tactically ok as in real battles.
Have not yet played a game. Not sure if I should push up to 8x4 foot for less cosy battles.

Don't know the rules but using skirmish units of archers as a screen to the guard infantry and the chariotry would reduce frontage with cart mounted archers (ready to dismount in a firing or skirmish line) to support the light horse on either flank facing an enemy in an open fight.

In TtS! it definitely pays to have reserves, otherwise an enemy that breaks through can turn and roll the line up, or rush the camp. Also skirmishers, as mentioned above. It is also wise to garrison the camp…

Reserves…good news. Mabey I am hung up on old days when touting units took anything at the back away with them.
I just ran out of points so a unit of bow(taking me down to minimum of 5) or cavalry will need to go. Also no points for spare ammo.
Left out skirmish thinking every man can shoot and may not be required as in other armies.

Remember you get 1 "reserve" Ammo for every unit that can shoot. Usually, that will be more than enough… or so it has seemed in our games so far!

BTW, it's going top look great! Yes, the large bases will occupy most of a box, but there will still be plenty of empty boxes! You probably doe want at least a few light uniot's. They're cheap.

Some skirmish are useful in case there is rough ground. Also it's good to have one to leave in the camp as un-garrisoned camps are tempting targets! More than once I've seen players assaulting their own camps in an attempt to capture them back. :-)
