After my first failed attempt at a To The Strongest tutorial, I went back to the drawing board and decided to make a series of videos to go more in depth about the mechanics.

If any masters of To The Strongest would double check my rule interpretations it would be appreciated as I am unfortunately error prone.

Being a big fan of the rules, I will try and find some time this weekend to check out your vids, cool idea!

Excellent! I love TtS too. Playing a solo Roman vs German game in 15mm. Are your boxes 100mm? I assume your figures are 6mm Baccus or similar. I like the look of the game. Looks like armies moving around. I have just looked at your first video, and will view the others later, but, I think when you draw to move units, you only do them with your number cards plus your Ace. [no Face cards]. We use 10 sided dice, and chits that we got from the Big Red Bat shop rather than the cards. We just like rolling dice…lol. Thanks for doing these!!

Ahh, yes, you only use aces and numbered cards for activations, the face cards and jokers are set aside and used only for pregame strategems.

Using face cards gives too many 10s in effect IMHO

Now if you are rolling dice it does not give you the same distribution issues you have as you take cards out of the deck. Is this an appropriate way to get the effect?

Hah! Good catch on the face cards. I really am unqualified to make tutorials…another alteration I made to the rules to allow my students to fight the battle in the course of an hour. I don't have it in my to remake these, but I'll make a note in me video descriptions.

Let me know if you find anything else! Thanks for watching.

Lol I have a suitcase full of discarded face cards up in the loft.

I very much enjoyed part 1 but haven't had time to watch the remainder yet, hopefully tomorrow! Very professional. The playing cloth and grid markers are excellent!

Cheers, Simon

Hey Matt;

Sent you a PM. See that you are in St Louis. We should do a round robin tourney in Columbia since I am in KC. Give me a shout.
