This was my second year, and once again I enjoyed the day immensley – so much so that I have already ordered some figures to build a HotT army for next year. I have a whole year to get them painted.

Steve, why not wait until the theme for 2016 is announced before getting a new army?

Why buy now? Well, I am getting back into the mood for painting after a break of several months, and I fancy something different. Waiting I have the camels for LPIA nomadic army and Tullian Roman and Etruscan armies.

The competition is acting as a bit of an inspiration. I already have a box filled with a Goblin/Orc army, and I have loads of BBDBA armies to cobble together something from. So I took the plunge to buy an army specifically for HotT. Whether it will fit into the theme of the competition and get used does not bother me, as this is an army that I want, and we all know that want trumps logic!

Anyway, I suspect that this new army of mine will fit into many themes, but I need to get it painted before I can use it, and that is always a problem for me.

Steve, sounds like a plan to me. Going to tell us what the new army is? And when do we get to see pictures?

The stronghold I picked up a few years ago. Painted and holed.

The elements I have had for a number of years. The mounted element I will split. The cloaked figure with crown will have a few foot figures added to make a General element. One of the other mounted figures will make a second element. I have some bow armed figures already, and await delivery of more foot figures.

The planned army composition is:

Lich Warrior King (Hero General)
Undead Champion (Hero) – The Lich's enforcer
Shooters
2 Lurkers (skeletons rising from their graves.
12 Skeleton Hordes

Stronghold: Ruined Castle.

Steve, sounds like a fun army. but that sure is a bunch of skeletons to paint! But I do love skeletons for some bizarre reason??? Hope you'll share some pictures when it's done.
