I've posted pictures of my nearly finished US Hollywood HotT army. I'll be doing a Red Skull army to oppose it. You can see it here. The bases are not done yet, but are in the works.

Nifty. But you need the Haunted Tank!

Terry3727 Mar 2016 8:10 a.m. PST

Can't – it's comic book and this army is based on movies. The other option could be the tank from Battle of the Bulge though – green and brown camouflaged M-24 Chaffee.

That said, I am working on details for doing a US comic book army which will have the Jigsaw Tank, aka the Haunted Tank based on the comics. The men will come from Sgt. Rock and his Easy Company. I already have the parts to make the Jigsaw Tank and am looking forward to doing it.

I am putting together bits to make a Jigsaw Tank. I would love to see what you can put together and how you do it.

Well, that's the kind of WW2 army I'd consider collecting…

Would you mind telling us where you sourced the more exotic minis? Captain America, Howling Commandos…

Terry3728 Mar 2016 10:33 a.m. PST

Bunkermeister – I am having to use what pieces of models are available to me. As you probably already know the Jigsaw Tank was depicted in several different configurations in the various comic books, i.e. some had 4 bogey wheels and some had 5. Since I am using the really nice Pendragon 10 MM models I am using a T-34 chassis, with a US M-24 Chaffee turret. The gun will be a cut down barrel from a Centurion. I plan to locate the turret back a bit so there will be room to add the two hull hatches which were in front of it. Later as I have more time I will take a picture of the component pieces for you. The hull will be painted Russian green and then a very thin coat of US OD over it. The turret will be OD.

Trojan – the figures I used for the Howling Commandos are either Essex or Peter Pig, but then modified to make them look like they did in the movie – and in the uniform/dress they were wearing when they were freed from the Germans by Capt. America.

Bucky Barnes is a straight Essex US figure with a Thompson – the weapon he is listed as using. Wearing an M41 and the brown drab trousers.

Gabe Jones is a straight Peter Pig figure of a US infantryman holding a 30 cal and firing from the hip. He is wearing HBTs

Frenchie is also a straight Peter Pig figure from their French Partisan pack. He is wearing clothes found in a picture I found of him.

Morita is another Peter Pig figure from the US command pack with a walkie -talkie. I converted his helmet to a wool jeep cap he is usually depicted wearing. He is in M43s.

Dum Dum Dugan is a Peter Pig US paratrooper with a Thompson, but with a head swap from an Essex late medieval Spanish reiter (had to remove the beard, but kept the mustache). He is wearing an M42 jump suit.

Falsworth is an Essex British officer armed with a sten gun, but a head swap using a Peter Pig head with a beret. He is a British BD and trousers.

The Captain is an Essex infantryman with is rifle and pack removed and suspenders and pistol belt created over the A2 leather jacket. The rifle was replaced with a 45. The shield is an Essex shield sold in a pack of loose shields. He is also wearing M43 trousers, but airborne jump boots.

Peggy Carter is also a Peter pig conversion of a US infantryman with all gear removed and a Peter Pig female head transplanted. She is wearing a leather jacket similar to an A2, but not quite – looking more like a Hollywood invention. She is also wearing airborne jump boots.

I game in 15 MM, so all figures are 15 MM.

Hope this is helpful.

Bunkermeister,

I had some time today to take a couple of photos of my plans for the Jigsaw tank. All parts for it come from Pendragen 10 MM range , which I like a lot.

Bunker,

Happy it is helpful. I am still researching Sgt. Rock and Easy Co, but once i get that squared away I'll get the figures and get it going.

Super Terry37.

I just did a Gee Bee racer as a WWII USAAC fighter. I am working on several similar projects.

Mike, the Gee Bee sounds like a good choice. What rules are you going to be using? My using HotT allows me to create many armies so I have probably 8 or 9 more planned and have gathered the figures for most of them – it's my painting that's slow! Red Skull will be next and it is going to be a fun one. Here's the army list

1 x Magician General – Red Skull and Dr. Zola @ 4 AP 4 pts
1 x Blades – Hydra Guard @ 2 AP 2 pts
2 x Beast – Werewolf Brigade @ 2 AP 4 pts
2 x Spears – Death's Head Legion @ 2 AP 4 pts
2 x Warband – Nazi Zombies @ 2 AP 4 pts
1 x Flyer – Terror Bird @ 2 AP 2 pts
1 x Behemoth – Panther Lehr @ 4 AP 4 pts
Total 24 pts

Stronghold – The Keep

The "Terror Bird" comes from a Weird War comic, the Deaths Head Legion (German soldiers with skull heads)and Werewolf Brigade German soldiers with wolf heads) are form a fellow HotT players Weird Reich army, and the Panther will be a panther figure melded with a Panther tan body and turret in place of the gun barrel. The Stronghold of "The Keep" is of course from the book and movie by that name. Trying to reflect the Nazi influence of the occult, and a take on Red Skull.

Will Arnim Zola be in his original body, or the classic TV body?

Terry3709 Apr 2016 8:52 a.m. PST

He will be in his original body as depicted in the movie – wearing a gray lab coat. I am not familiar with the TV Body version.

Jakar Nilson09 Apr 2016 1:20 p.m. PST

It's how he looks like in the comics, like his chest is a TV:

Oh, that would be a very interesting figure to make. Was he normal human size or larger?

Terry

Jakar Nilson09 Apr 2016 8:11 p.m. PST

Human-sized. Usually depicted as a little under average height.

Terry3710 Apr 2016 12:27 p.m. PST

Thanks Jakar. An interesting possibility for sure!

Terry, I use my own set of rules.

I do 1/72nd scale figures and aircraft and HO scale vehicles. One of my recent works is a Red Skull HQ using an old Harry Potter castle toy.
