Someone here a month or two ago mentioned the MM book would be printed and out ' beginning of summer if not earlier' and that he knew some of the changes ' but I'm not telling'.
So as summer is rapidly approaching where pray tell is it? I'm only really interested in the army lists as we may use them for DBM and am interested in any changes.

Best guess is the middle of next month. They had issues with the printer… (they went out of business).

They recent restock of DBA shows that they have found a new one.

With respect the printer in question went bust a while ago and if it was that ready it should just of been a case to find a new one and print.
Also I believe some of the army lists had only been finished towards the end of '15 so not ready to print.
Any noise from the yahoo forum at all?

None, other than Sue posting on the DBA-list that Phil is working on HFG. Which should mean he has finished DBMM and the lists. Real soon then?

It's great to report that the new DBMM 2.1 rules are available on Amazon, in the UK. However, not yet in the USA. From what I've read on the DBMM Yahoo group, the rules are in hardback, like the DBA 3.0 rules.

Many of the changes are clarifications, which were needed, as well as several rules changes and additions. As a nice touch, there are army lists included in the rules book as well, though, as yet, I do not know how many.

I do know that the New Kingdom Egyptian army list is included and there is a troop type, regBd(X), included, that was not in the previous army list, so that is a good sign.

I'm looking forward to reading the rules myself and getting to try them in a game.

I've received mine.

Since these are 2.1 rather than 3.0, it means there is not as much change as last time. However, there are some pretty small changes which will probably have a big impact.

One very welcome change is that the impetuous rules seem much clearer. Hopefully they will play as easily as they look.

There are two pairs of lists from each book period. NKE and Hittite, Later Ach. Persian and Alexandrian, Saxon and Viking, HYW English and corresponding French.
They go from reasonably large changes (NKE) through to virtually no change (French).

We're told that they are available in the USA if ordered from Amazon UK (and perhaps Lulu).

Quality of the binding – now hardback – seems good. Hopefully it won't start shedding pages with use.

Is there any word if there will be a US release? I'd like to have my LGS be able to order some copies as it's the only way some of the old farts in my group know how to shop.

I would imagine that On Military Matters, will be carrying the rules.

Glad to hear they finally cleared up Impetuous rules – one of my big complaints when I was still in the playtest group.

awaiting my copy and really looking forward to the new lists. In general, it appears that Cv and Lh, are not as effective against foot troops.

The changes may make players field a larger infantry contingent, in many of the combined armies they play, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm not convinced that these changes will make players want to play DBMM, if they're not already doing so!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think the changes were made to attract new players, I thought it was more of a requested cleaning up of a few points by players, hence the 2.1 (?) rather than a whole new 3.0 thing.
Also I believe DBM or MM is more of a calling rather than a big draw, considering all the other rule sets out there now to choose from, especially with the internet getting rules out to more people in an easier way than 20 or even 10 years ago.

Ansley, I agree with you completely. Though, I could see DBA 3.0 players giving them a try, as there are now more similarities.

Have the DBMM 2.1 rules finally been translated in English in this new version of the rules or are are the numerous unofficial interpretations and translations still a requirement?
