Having got the new Dux Bellorum rules for Christmas (the Osprey/Daniel Mersey one), I was going to make a printable roster sheet for working out some armies. However, I got a bit carried away, and soon I was up to my eyes in lookup tables to work everything out. I've tested it against the sample armies in the book (and had a quick response from the author when I had a query about something that didn't seem to work based on the book). You can find an OpenOffice and Excel version over at link |

Played my second game yesterday. Most fun I have had in ages. Armies look terrific and the game moves along quickly while keeping you engaged! Well recommended! |

I am presuming most people are playing this in 15mm, if so what base sizes are you using
I just got the rules at Xmas and looking forward to my first game |

Steve W, I just started painting up my Romano-Britons and I'm using 60mm x 30mm for infantry 2 ranks deep, and I'm using 60mm x 40mm for cavalry. 1 inch washers for leaders. I'm not a big fan of single rank basing so I went bigger than the usual 40mm frontage and I'm getting about 10 figures per base for close rank and shield walls, skirmishers will probably be halved. |

I am leaning towards 6x30 myself as it will fit in nicely with some other rule systems Thanks for the advice |
