I have found references to these rules in previous posts. I had them back in the 70's and still think they were the best set of ancient skirmish rules I ever played. The problem is someone borrowed the rule book, took it apart to copy it and returned it without a few pages and the "cheat sheet". Would anyone out there be willing to do a copy of the rules set and cheat sheet for me or know someone willing to sell them.

Hi Phil, I think I have the rule book tucked away/ I'll look tonight and post again.

Hello,

I used to play this back in the 70s too. I agree that it was (is) a very good skirmish system. Unfortunately, I dumped my copy with most of everything else when when I went inactive, but I've been looking for a copy of it ever since I started gaming again. If you ever do find a copy, I'd be interested in obtaining copies, too (and happy to compensate for your trouble). Please drop a line, if you have the time and are so inclined, at:

I have my original. You can see it come up every now and then on eBay.

Yes. A google search just showed that one had come and gone recently on ebay (drat!).

Thanks,
Ed

I did not mean to imply that my copy comes up on eBay every now and then!

Still can't get rid of it, eh Allen?

Allen,

Sort of like the old joke where the elderly couple are sitting at breakfast, and the husband, reading the paper, turns to his wife and relates, "It says here that in this country a man is run over by a car every four minutes," to which the wife replies, "Poor fellow."

I didn't think 'twas your Sword and Spear making the rounds (but it's a darned interesting idea!).

Best,
Ed M

Hi Bilros,

I have found my "copy" of the rules and think I have all of them. Seems to be 24 pages although some of them are one sided so must be copies of the original. Is this right for a page count? I seem to remember a cheat sheet or two was supposed to be with it. If I could get copies of those I think I'm good to go.

Woot! Just picked up a copy on Ebay! Now, I'm gonna have to invest in some Medieval and (gasp) even Fantasy figs to recapture the "olden days" when we wore this rule set out.

If only Der Kriegspieler Fantastiques were still being produced, I could enter my second childhood in style.
