Do us guys who bought the 1st version last year get the upgrade free? Or do we feel cheated and move on, with the old GW debacles of new versions every so often I'm not happy to here these rules have a version up grade so quick on version one. Cheers |

From the Sword & Spear forum: "Don't worry, there are no changes to the rules other than the ones already in the Errata, FAQ & Rules changes document. The purpose was to get a print run done so it can be sold in wargames shops and at shows. This should help to get more exposure for the rules and more people playing." Those documents he mentions are available for free in the forum as well. Cheers, Christopher |

Hi Zargon Yours is a legitimate concern, but there is nothing to worry about. As mentioned above, the changes are very minor and are things that have been discussed and implemented via the forum over the last few months. There was never any intention for this to be an upgrade to the rules – it was purely to get a print run done so they can be stocked and sold by wargames shops, rather than just available through Lulu. The few rules changes are available to download from my website polkovnik.moonfruit.com , so there is no need to buy the new book if you already have the rules. |

'Safer to love everyone' :) well here hoping I'm in that camp (nooo a pun) I didn't click the link so didn't see the don't worry disclaimer, but looks like the basher from bash street needed to bash, well if it helps good luck to him. Cheers nice one Phillius:) |

Hi Marshal, thanks that's the heads up that I needed to show I still got a set of valid rules (and good ones at that) and I can confidently play against someone who has the update without feeling I'm running with yesterdays news. Thanks all for the informed info too. Cheers |

I would have called this a second printing not a second edition. |

Yes, second printing is the better descriptor. |

Mark is to be congratulated on striking a deal that will hopefully make the rules available to a wider audience. I have the Lulu hard copy and the PDF, but will happily buy a copy of the "second printing" (which I am sure will have better photos etc) to help introduce new players to the rules. Mark has offered army lists free on-line from his website, without trying to make a penny from them. Rules questions are always answered speedily and politely. |
