Last December our small group played a large 28mm Clash of Empires engagement featuring Etruscan vs. Republican Rome armies (about 400 B.C.). Took awhile to capture the Roman OOB, but with OOB in hand, the Etruscan Royal scribes could rewrite history. Lots of fun and a lengthy battle over some unknown reason lost to time.
Complete AAR write up with photos and three video feeds from the Etruscan news service (ENS): AAR: link ENS Part I: YouTube link ENS Part II: YouTube link ENS PArt III: YouTube link Cheers from the ancient warren, WR P.S. There are other Clash of Empires ancient AAR reports found in the dusty vaults of time at Wargamerabbit. Look about, the rabbits are cute and friendly, to a point. |

Looks as though it all became rather messy (and nasty!). It's good to see a battle from this period in Italy. Your Etruscan war correspondents did a fine job; it's a nit of a shame that the Romans go on to write the histories

Nice report! I think it is one of the better ancient periods, I find strange Aventine did not complete its range. |
