I am an experienced Armati player but I have a question regarding "Tactical Factors in Melee". The +1 modifier for unit width seems to be very restictive. If I interpret it correctly then the ONLY time you get this bonus is if a Single unit is facing a Single unit and one is wider than the other. Is this correct? It also appears that there is no bonus for overlaps in Armati. Is this correct?

Thanks,
Mike O'Brien

Both correct.

May I suggest to join the Armati yahoogroups for any other clarification about the rules

Not nessessery. Remember, phasing player chooses the melee direction. One of your units may overlap your enemy unit on one side of the line. Also, 2 units vs. 1 unit in a melee area will usually overlap the single unit on both sides. Check the rules again, it is very clearly stated.
