Hi all

Following the success of the inaugural event this year, I'm pleased to announce that the second Baccus Cup, otherwise known as the Armati doubles tournament, is scheduled for the weekend of the 3rd/4th Feb 2007 and entries are now being taken, cost £5!

The intention, again, is to have a 6mm matched-pairs (a la Glasgow) format (all figures provided by yours truely – core+100pts on 6'x4' tables) over three rounds. The only change to the event is that the first round will now run on Saturday evening, between 4-7pm, which will then enable us tohave a more leisurely time of it on the Sunday, with just two rounds to fit in around the show.

Pete Berry of Baccus is again sponsoring the event, as he so
graciously did last year.

I am looking for between 8-16 players to make up the entry for this event, with players being allocated their partners by a random draw on arrival. Entry will operate on a first-come, first serve basis and cheques need to be made payable to Paul Murgatroyd and sent to:

9 Northfield Avenue
Sudbrooke

LN2 2FB

Please feel free to send me an email at: pmmurgatroyd@aol.com and I'll reply asap.

Cheers
P.
