Which was the first army that you collected and painted for use with Impetus? |
RobH | 04 Oct 2011 2:49 p.m. PST |
First one done specifically for Impetus was 28mm Feral Wood Elves for the Impetus Fantasy variant. Being followed by 28mm Kingdom of Heaven Crusaders, also for Impetus Fantasy. I also have 20mm El Cid armies underway that stalled due to HaTs abysmal release schedule delays. May get back to them one day when the cavalry are finally available (on the shelf in my local store) My 15mm armies are rebased from previous use in other sets of rules.

Wars of the Roses Lancastrian in 28mm which I'm currently building. I already have Yorkists, Hellenistics and Pontics in 15mm based for other systems but fortunately combining the bases makes for the right sized Impetus units. |

28mm EIR Romans and Britons. Worked on both at the same time so as to have 2 armies available to introduce folks to the game. Next up are late Republic Romans, followed by Hoplites ( 2 armies for city-state battles, etc) and then on to Late Roman/Arthurian and their opponents. What's nice about Impetus is that I can build several BI armies of various periods and then expand them each up to 300 points, and higher, for not a lot of money. |

None specifically for Impetus: I tend to use my armies for a range of rules and I don't like rebasing. |

Samurai. Individually based on circular or oval bases that go into sabots when I play Impetus.

I have a wide swath of dark age Europe and Mid-East amies, including Vikings, Anglo-Saxons, Normans, Magyars, French, Crusaders, Byzantines, Syrians, and Seljuks. Currently painting dark age Irish. After that I'm conflicted -- Dacians, or Carthagians, or classical Greeks? So many armies, so little time . . . (Bruka -- what scale are your ancients in?) |

28mm Wars of the Roses. Based for WAB, bigger bases for Impetus. I base flexibly so that when rules change, basing is minimal effort :) |
hwarang | 05 Oct 2011 2:02 p.m. PST |
In 1/72 that was ancient Persian. In 15mm it was Ming Chinese. In 28mm it is a human army (mostly warhammer Bretonnia minis) for one of the fantasy variants. |
