Have read the Amazon.com reviews, the various TMP threads covering parts of the rules and the one or two topics regarding the Foundry version. That the basing system's compatible with Warhammer's a plus. Do these rules, the Foundry version, give a feel for the various periods covered, since the provided lists are spread over a millennium? WAB has the AoC supplement for special rules covering the late Medieval period, to differentiate with the ones in Shieldwall and books covering eras. Why are most of the lists covering the early-Medieval(Dark Age) and High-Medieval periods? No Italians
A post here mentions French and Burgundian Ordinance, but a scan of the French army list says it's 14th-early 15th Century picture , is there coverage for mid-late 15th Century French, since there's a WotR list and HRE has Landsknechts? I'm interested in the early-mid 16th century Italian Wars, while I know there's a Renaissance rulebook, will there also be a Foundry version?

"That the basing system's compatible with Warhammer's a plus." My older copy if MW is not. Can someone bring me up to speed? |

TMP link Uesugi Kenshin: "How are figures based?"Again, flexible. They offer a guide for basing "small stands" (30mm wide, for 10mm or 6mm figures, generally), "medium stands " (also known as "Foundry Stands", 30mm-50mm frontage, mainly for 15mm or single mounted 25mm figures), and "Large stands" (50-75mm, for 25mm-28mm minis). The reason they have done this is largely to make the rules universal to any pre-based army you have (ie. no re-basing). The "medieum stands" that I use is pretty much the same bases as used in any of the DB(x) game systems. |

Very suitable for RW although Terry Gore actually wrote a set of rules called "Renaisance Warfare" that you can still find online. They are not produced by Foundry but rather by "Saga Publishing" which Terry Gore ran before he past away. Try Caliver Press or On Military Matters. |

I know there's a Renaissance Warfare rulebook, which is why I was wondering if Foundry's got plans to re-publish it, like Medieval Warfare. At $25, I prefer purchasing the Medieval Warfare title. Is it true there's no French Ordinance in the rulebook? |

The lists included in the book are rather Anglo-centric. However, there is a points system included, so writing your own army lists should not be particularly demanding. Griefbringer |

Mmm. That's really no basing system at all, then: flexible, yes, but anything goes. |

The lists included in the book are rather Anglo-centric. Also might have been chosen due to available Foundry ranges. However, there is a points system included, so writing your own army lists should not be particularly demanding. Thanks. |

Mmm. That's really no basing system at all, then: flexible, yes, but anything goes. It's a basing system to me, albeit flexible, and unlike FoG, avoids leaving empty spaces. |

Also Saga publishing has supposedly published some separate army list books – not sure what those cover, or how easily they are available, but they should be pretty compatible with the Foundry version. |
