Gwen said the bandits weren't from her province, which I presume means they had an accent. Wouldn't be surprised if they were 'foreign fighters' from Al-Qaeda. This is same province where they fought over that city with government troops.

This just in: The thief has been caught, he was not from the area, had a drug history. Unfortunately, he pawned the necklace. Gwen has the pawn receipt now, but would have to pay to get the necklace back. Thief is in jail for now.
