You can also use a peg board as a stencil to create a grid pattern on a cloth. I did this with some black glitter felt to create a gridded "space" mat for spaceship gaming, though I used a much, much larger sheet of pegboard!

Could be good for planting trees on.

Or put coloured sellophane behind maybe an led light, glue 4 together for a sci fi high-rise.
