-Bill, my local Michael's only had the bugs with sparkles on them; I'll have to go back and look for the gold ones with black on them. They also had centipedes in addition to the other creepy crawlies you mentioned.

Since it is Michael's the Halloween stuff will probably go on sale as we get closer to October 31 and drop to 50% off on November 1.

That's interesting. At my store, the sparkle ones were on the bottom of the display.

The lucanus beetle is commonly known as a stag beetle; it is different from the scarab beetle.
