I talked previously about our rotating theme songs, and now we've had four more on our homepage.

I was originally using the Sonauto v3 AI for lyric and song generating, through Deep Dream Generator, which is an AI aggregator where you can use multiple AIs (art, animation, music) under one interface. It costs a small amount of money for each generation of lyrics or song, which I imagine covers the overhead of providing the service and storage of output.

Sonauto interface

However, you can also go directly to Sonauto and generate songs there. It is currently free. Through Deep Dream Generator, all songs are 1.35 minutes long. But on Sonauto itself, songs vary from half a minute to over four minutes depending on the AI's decision, and there are a few more options.

I've also learned that I can generate lyrics at no cost on the Gemini AI, and it will even provide instructions in Sonauto format. Unfortunately, the current v3 version of Sonauto is flaky, and is more likely to 'sing' embedded instructions as if they're lyrics! However, Gemini is quite good at providing multiple suggestions on which tags to use for the music instructions.

TMP Theme Song #5

I originally generated this song through Deep Dream Generator, and got a beautiful tune, but the AI screwed up and much of the lyrics were turned into nonsense words and syllables. So I later generated a replacement directly through Sonauto itself, which is why this song is much longer.

My directions to the AI were: "In the style of Mas Que Nada by Brasil 66. Happy tune."

I find the quality on this one to be amazing. (The secret is to request as many as 20 versions, until you get a really good result.)

TMP Theme Song #6

This time, I asked for "In the style of Like a Rolling Stone by Bob Dylan. Happy tune." (Not sure Dylan did any happy tunes, but hey, let's see!)

Sounds like Dylan to me!

TMP Theme Song #7

I let the AI help with the music instructions this time:

Vibrant acoustic strumming, cheerful handclaps, harmonious group vocals, lively tambourine accents, uplifting major key progression, warm and inclusive atmosphere, energetic tempo, bright and resonant mix, intimate studio quality, communal spirit embodied in the sound, clear and dynamic production, inviting and celebratory mood

And got this:

Not bad. Turns 'pals' into 'polls'.

TMP Theme Song #8

I asked for:

A dusty road under a setting sun, harmonica wails echoing through sparse desert landscape, acoustic guitar strumming with a raw, gritty edge, storytelling vocals with poetic lyricism, vintage warmth and authenticity, intimate and reflective mood, folk-inspired melodies with a touch of bluesy soul, captured in a raw, unpolished production style, evoking the spirit of a troubadour wandering through time.

And got this:

Kind of catchy.

Thanks for all your suggestions! We'll keep cranking out songs for a while longer.
