Wild Creatures: Wild Animals

…how about posing a metric ruler next to the figures?

I'll give it a shot next time.

I've also become aware that there is an alternate (older?) variety of this bag, slightly different packaging, same models, different colors, and some very basic one-color painting (i.e., spots on the giraffe).

Since we've looked at Wild Creatures: Reptiles and Wild Creatures: Sea Life, I decided to go ahead and buy the third set in the series.

Wild Animals

With this pack, you get 16 toys, eight pairs in white and orange rubbery plastic. As is common with toys, scale is inconsistent. Compared to the previous sets, detail is often softer, and some have ejector marks.

Wild Animals

As you can see above, we have lions and, I think, panthers. Plus a 32mm figure for reference. Might work for an arena game?

Wild Animals

These giraffes are almost 60mm tall; the elephants are 30mm to top of head. You might put a howdah on the elephant for 15mm? If you had the right figure, the giraffe could take a rider (gnome cavalry?).

Wild Animals

These llamas look too large for 32mm; the camels might work for 15mm.

Wild Animals

And finally, some peaceful-looking large kangaroos that could be fantasy monsters or an alien race of psychics; and bears that seem about right for 32mm.

Some interesting possibilities for an inexpensive bag of toys…
