NärCon is a pretty big Swedish con, albeit with more of a cosplay focus than a wargaming one. |

There are several actual NerdCons. Folks making nominations for this poll failed a whole lot of their die rolls and have abysmal google-fu. |

Some of the "worst" names are too obviously "worst" and not at all clever. Just putting a pejorative in front of "Con" doesn't make your choice worth voting as "bad." It's the clever ones where the combination with "con" means something negative rather than positive which get my vote as "worst"— like BigCon. "Big" sounds good, and is innocuous… but putting Con after it changes the meaning into something nobody wants to be a part of, and is humorous and thus obviously "bad." This list should have been purged of the dumb, blunt ones in favor of the twisted, funny ones. Maybe the survey will play that out anyway. |

"Maybe the survey will play that out anyway." And to think I've been accused of optimism, Parzival! Take a look at the "winners" so far. I agree with the rest of your thinking, though. |
