I use FUBAR which is rules light at the best of times.
With vehicles even more so.
However my own made vehicle datacards do have some weapons with fixed fire arcs.
No need to actually turn the turret though!

What next, turn a mans head so he can see?

Some do (skirmish) some don't (big battles) – so OTHER

Not at all – I game WWII mostly as grand tactical in 6mm, so given that each mini represents a platoon then the question of turret facing becomes somewhat moote

Now that the Little Prince is getting into WWII at 20mm I suppose we could, but we are using either Rapid Fire for Rookies or a home-grown adaptation of Buck's Big Battles for Little Hands, neither of which considers turret facing – plus the only AFVs we have used so far are StuGs!

FoW – yes
40k – no
BKC – no

All depends what I feel like playing as toi whether the turrets turn. It's not an issue either way TBH.

I prefer abstraction, but turn the turrets etc for games like Flames of War.

For Spearhead on the other hand, we don't bother (and the rules abstract it).

I find it depends on the models – the Battlefront tanks manage very well, while some 28mm models don't do so well.

Plus, when it comes to 6mm, I would just lose all the turrets if they were loose.

We give a minor change of arc as no problem, but if you're not pointing in the general direction, how can you see the target, let alone hit it?

Sadly, most rules don't have info on turret rotation speeds.

I said fanatic for one reason. I only like such games at a small skirmish level and that angle can be VERY important. Watch Kelley's Heros. The tree and the gun illustrate this.

It's in FoW, and I don't llike it. I don't think it's justified. Point your tank!
Pointing the tank in one direction and the turret in another is just gaming the system.
