I've got Dwarf miners with pickaxes, and a peasant horde with farming implements. |

Most of my WW2 infantry have entrenching tools. And if that doesn't count, some of my engineers do. |

Certainly. Sappers with axes or shovels, gunners with rammers, buckets and linstocks, WWII figures with radios and mine detectors, the odd SF skirmish figure with medical bag or tool kit. |

The obligatory peasants armed with farming tools. Plus some artillery crew and camp followers who aren't using their tools as improvised weapons. Oh, and an awful lot of figures carry knives that would have served both as everyday tools and last-ditch weapons. |

As noted obligatory peasants/farmers in ancients, medievals and horse and musket Artillery crews and sappers/engineers And dwarven miners (although a pickaxe or two can be handy if a nasty goblin shows up in the mine) |

For my FoW Soviets I'm painting up a set of the Peter Pig "Dancing Group" as an objective. Also have radio men and spotters who are not notably armed. I also have a few guys with shiny tanks on their backs who are ready to start a barbeque. :) |

My confederate field radio team is always a hoot to sneak on as a command unit. |

I first said "No" but then I recalled that my artillery stands have figures holding ramming/swabbing poles, torches, what appears to be an aiming stick, cannonballs and kegs of powder, all of which could be classified as "tools." On a dwarf flame cannon unit, there's at least one guy with a shovel. And then my dwarf general is holding a tankard of ale— certainly a necessary tool for a dwarf! So "Yes, apparently I do." |
