Without completely changing the historical set up by both forces or the terrain conditions, I would argue it is impossible for the French to win either Crecy or Agincourt. Poitiers is probably more playable as a game either side could win. I will grant I'm not an expert, but to me the former two appear to be an invitation to a slaughter for the French— which is what they turned out to be. Best French option: Refuse battle, and redeploy somewhere else! |

Battle of Rouvray, otherwise known as the Battle of the Herrings. In addition to having an interesting back story, it is also a battle that is fun to game, if only for the wild mix of forces. |

Best French option: Refuse battle, and redeploy somewhere else! Certainly for Agincourt. Just starve out the English. They're not about to attack you. Of course that assumes that the French actually had anyone in charge. |
