How could Sgt Rock not be the only choice? Jeb Stuart and the haunted tank I suppose could be considered.

GI Combat was my favorite followed by Weird War Tales. GI Combat had the haunted tank, Enemy Ace and Gravedigger and those were so engrossing to me as a kid.
