When they first started making it, it certainly wasn't easy to assemble as it usually had huge bubbles in it. It seems that they have managed to improve the process considerably and now it is a lot easier to assemble than metal models.

They stopped doing finecast now, having improved their detailed plastics.

I suppose that historically "resin" and "air bubbles" went together like death and taxes. But why is it that companies like Spartan had long since developed a resin with spectacular detail (oh, the rivets!) and zero air bubbles (that I ever saw, anyway), and GW comes along later and has a huge PR song and dance, only to reveal a product that (as best as I could tell) was universally reviled?

…Only to then switch to "superior detail plastic", which- surprise- other companies were ALSO already doing.

Could someone please enlighten me on this- this seems a comically huge blunder.

Nice figures but they don't exactly glide together

Really?

Nice Figures

Then why isn't GW making them anymore?

Oh that rights because they were horrible and not very well received, just like AoS is today.

I think they are. At least one of the ones I have is still up for sale on their web site now marked as resin with the finecast name dropped.

I have not bought any recently so cannot be sure.

Are the new AoS figures Finecast?

Answer no

They dropped years ago because it was a bust.

Yep, another dusty old poll running for whatever reason.
