It does seem bizarre that most of these books didn't appear in the poll. Simply listing all of a series seems excessive when looking for the 'best' novel. |

Nominating a series is fine, but the question was about an individual novel. |

I'm surprised that with all the nominations that "The Legate's Daughter" by Wallace Breem was overlooked. John Gloag's Britannia trilogy is missing too, beginning with "Caesar of the Narrow Seas" about Carausius & Allectus. |
