I don't plan to do so, but sometimes I wind up doing so when I try a new game (famous battles tend to get repeated).

Good way to compare rules, but it gets less attractive as the learning time for a set of rules goes up, and it does require a common basing.

I don't normally do it, but I did once to compair DBA 2.2 with DBMM 100 (DBMM played with small armies). I used my 2 Warring States Chinese armies. The outcomes were similar, but I preferred the DBA because the game was quicker, and, possibly because I was more familiar with the rules, seemed to flow better.
