1) How are simultaneous movement and command radius not with us? Oh, well.

2) Does it strike anyone else how much of the list consist of unobjectionable things done to excess? "too many" "too complicated" "too powerful." I don't say this is wrong, but it's pretty subjective.

3) What we need is a REAL game mechanic--someone you can take your game to when it isn't working, and have him say "here you go: I increased the movement distances, took out about half the combat modifiers and swapped out the bidding war for a die roll: should run fine now. That'll be fifty bucks."

Because people feel other mechanisms were worse? Neither of those particularly worries me, mate.

It ties in with the discussion on "historical accuracy", Robert. Using unnecessary complication and detail to try to increase historical accuracy.

Besides, mate, everyone has their own pet hates, and what's cream to one person is castor oil to another.

3) I can do that, no problem. Can I interest you in an extended warranty? Could help you out if the game breaks somewhere down the road.
