Seeing the latest releases in the lead. Is my main pleasure of a show. I have voted " buying the latest releases" but it's seeing them in solid rather than actual purchase that is my pleasure.

Seeing new figures, models and terrain, catching up with old friends and, occasionally, a game with new opponents. What I'd really like to do do is attend one of the big UK shows, probably Partizan, which look to have a lot more demo and participation games than Aussies shows do (where the emphasis seems to be on competitions).

I could go to a convention and not play or buy anything. I have lots of friends who I only see at conventions. Just getting together with them is almost worth the price of admission.

Playing different games, meeting new people (and old friends) at the top.
Also on the list as my "other:" finding deals with the vendors (whether old product or new).

The vendor booths are my favorite, even though I buy little. As x42brown stated, I get to see the items in person, not a photograph posted on a website, or in a magazine.

There were many items I drooled over, in print magazines, in my youth, which I've mostly tracked down now, on the Internet, 40+ years later: not all have met my expectations as to how much fun, how useful they would be, in person.

I like to see an item in hand, before I buy. Demo games are also a treat, at the vendor's tables. My most recent game purchases have been from seeing/playing demo games at a convention dealer hall. Cheers!

Cast my votes! I also look forward to the flip side, "What do you enjoy LEAST about wargaming conventions." Or has that already been done?

I wish that I could find the time to play in some games because I'm usually running my own convention games.

I like getting in games that are different to what the locals are into. Try new things.
