Painting is a significant hobby of mine. Because I have fewer opportunities to game these days, gaming is less important. For me though, "The Hobby" is a pastime and I'm not certain I can consider myself very serious about anything that falls into that category in my life.

+1 doubleones. I paint more than I game. But love gaming, too. Maybe a 3 on the scale.

2 I have so much in my life that needs attention that this takes a back seat.

4 for the same reasons outlined above – and I paint a lot more than I game

I'm moving toy soldiers around on a big piece of green felt, rolling dice to see what happens, and pretending I'm engaged in battle. I take that as seriously as it deserves. Which is 0.

As my major hobby and principal social contact I take it very seriously.

I've pretty much based my life around it, in one form or another.

That for some 22 years I've been trying to service that hobby with original rules, figures, accessories, etc, and rely on it's meager income, I had to give it a "9."

A "10" would mean I might care enough to do all that WELL.

I seriously want to have as fun panting and playing with my toys as I can. So I'm in the middle. Serious fun. Toys.

Yup, collecting and painting is my hobby.I haven't rolled dice in many many years.

I know someone who would be an 11, every game is life or death and he takes losing personally. You'd think we were playing for a block of flats.

I don't take the games seriously in that I have fun and don't mind if I win or lose. But various aspects of the hobby are a big and enjoyable part of my life, so in that regard I voted 9.

I have no idea how to express my interest numerically. I hope I've never shorted family, church or nation in pursuit of toy soldiers or a victorious game. But I also note that I've kept at it for about 55 years now, and there's something hobby-related almost every day.

I paint way more hours than game but should start gaming more.
Often thought I have no idea how much I spent on figures and don't want to know.
So now its following 2 podcasts, reading, painting, anx playing in that order and its quite a few hours in the week.

I paint continually and collect minis and boardgames -- I wish I could play more! But I can't find prospective players in this area who aren't wholly into D&D, RPGs, or Warhammer stuff. I'm about to lose heart entirely.
