Some of y'all don't know what a "musical" is.

In a musical, the characters themselves sing (and typically dance), with the song as central to the story, revealing the character's nature, desires, and even values, and advancing either theme or plot.
A great soundtrack of classic popular hits is NOT a musical.
One character singing one song, however iconic, is NOT a musical.
Instrumental theme music, even if central and inspirational to the film is NOT a musical.

American Graffiti, however much you may like it, is NOT a musical.
Fantasia, as fun as it is to see dancing hippos, or Mickey battle a bunch of animated mops, is NOT a musical.

I realize this is a website for people somewhat out of the mainstream, but jeez.

While American Graffiti (1973) is not a traditional musical where characters break into song and dance to advance the plot, it is often classified as a musical or "jukebox musical" because music is the film's structural backbone.

In fact, it won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and its unique approach changed how movies use music forever.

I still agree with Parzival. There are several non-musicals in this poll.
