"Most Overrated Television Show (Round 1D)" Topic

I went with all of the above. In my opinion nothing but TV trash.

Then you missed some good stories from "Twilight Zone" and the early seasons of "X-Files." Plenty of bad TV. Plenty of dull wargames and badly-painted miniatures, come to that.

Find and appreciate the good stuff.

When you say Upstairs Downstairs do you mean the original or the reboot (or both?)

Robert, I didn't like either twilight zone or x filed so no I didn't miss anything.

The problem with these polls is you would have had to have seen a lot of the shows.

You can know if a show has popular (I wrote poopular the first time … maybe i was right) acclaim through buzz and awareness of the zeitgeist (or at least being mercilessly bombarded by it). You can know critical acclaim by looking up reviews and awards.

But you really have to have watched a significant sample to form an opinion that you don't agree with others' opinions. That's harder than it sounds.

I think almost everyone who panned MASH would admit that if you saw the right few episodes, you would think it was golden. Likewise, everyone I have heard who loves ST:TNG acknowledges that the first season was acceptable at best, and lousy compared to the rest of the series.

The add in if I am not a fan of the Upstairs Downstairs genre, I am not a good person to evaluate the quality of the show. You can evaluate something you don't like critically, but not personally.

I would like to nominate another TV show that I think is horribly overrated and can't understand why it's even still on.
