I consider myself quite well read, but about this I have no idea.

Flashman seemed to have liked Palmerston.

As for Wellington… He was a PM?

To an American, this seems like asking a Person of British Persuasion to compare and contrast Chester Arthur and James Garfield.

Garfield was the overweight orange one who liked lasagne and fast food in general a lot and was mean to everyone around him? And was always about to do something but actually never did anything at all.

Is that right?

My new favorite song. "Written" (the old ".trad" trick when rewriting an old song when you want songwriting credit and royalties) by Rambling Jack Elliot.

Our high school cafeteria served "Salisbury Steak" on occasion. It was the worst meal they served.

Disreali for sure and then the Duke of Wellington – the rest are pretty forgetable

And I remember well getting Salisbury Steak when I was a lad, which very much confused me as to what a steak actually was

Well, I learned something. I never knew Wellington had been Prime Minister!

Wasn't James Garfield the star in The Rockford Files and The Great Escape? And Chester Arthur led the USM at Gaudalcanal right?

It is astonishingly to me that the average educated Brit. probably knows more about our history than we know about theirs or ours.

20thMaine, the bits about lasagne and being orange, no, but pretty much correct on everything else.
