All the usual hedges. I say some of these would make good movies or TV series in the abstract. As things now stand, I keep seeing a woke and diverse Conan adaptation--Conan as an example of Colonialism and White Priviledge, not to mention Toxic Masculinity--and an anti-Christian Spirit Ring. No doubt things will eventually improve, but given most of the perpetrators are my age or younger, I don't expect to see that improvement. (As an example, does anyone really expect the writers of Star Fleet Academy to write decent scripts later in life?)

Amazon Prime at one point had a Conan miniseries "in development". It was cancelled by the same woman who green lit Rings of Power.
And, yes. Precisely because of "toxic masculinity".
I believe she has been "future endeavored", as they say in the Wrestling Business.
Now, I got this from Critical Drinker, so grain of salt is recommended.

I see that the disgusting morally repugnant "Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever" series has received 3 votes. Those people should be ashamed of themselves.
It's worse than Gor.
Well, if you want to see a movie based on a rapist, I guess that's your choice. How nice.

I have long thought that "Tarzan and the Jewels of Opar" would be the perfect basis for a decent Tarzan movie. But what do I know compared to the geniuses of Hollywood?
