All supposedly used for Napoleonic skirmish. |

I would love to see the definition of "skirmish" under which CLS qualifies. I've played it from the late 1960's and never even heard of a game smaller than a reinforced brigade per side. A French Voltigeur platoon and a British Rifle company are both represented by three castings on a single stand. |

Agree, CL&S is definitely not a "skirmish" rule set. Jim |

I've heard of CLS, but never played it. 249 pages, with binders full of addenda? Something like that? 🤷 Let's face it. Sometimes a nomination in a Poll Suggestion is just a smartass suggestion. Not that *I* have ever done that… 🙄 |

Ditto – CLS not a skirmish set. Several others are dubious choices as well – Rebels and Patriots? |

Vote accordingly. |

OFM, that was the very last years of CLS II, and 249 pages must have included all the addenda. The actual rules were more like 80 pages. CLS3 is 36 pages and a summary sheet. I've cut to under half that and added a two-page QRF for convention play. |

DeRuyter, I suspect that Rebels and Patriots was suggested because of the War of 1812 scenarios. |

Perhaps the title of the poll should have been "Favorite rules for playing skirmishes in the Napoleonic era" So if I wanted to use LotR SBG it would be okay. |

Rebels and Patriots is a company sized skirmish game, does have the 1812 scenarios, and works just fine for other Napoleonics. Legit entry. |
