Never gamed 54mm and I don't recall ever seeing it done at any shows. Even as a kid Timpo & Britain's plastics were out of my price range. Same could be said for Airfix 1/32 scale. |

Not Ancients, but have gamed with 54mm figures for WWII (Bolt Action), 54mm Magnificent Seven and Maximilian Adventure (Ron's Home Rules), and the AWI and Russo-Turkish War of 1774 (All The King's Men). |

54mm was _the_ scale for Napoleonics when I was a child, but fell into disfavour in the mid 70s IIRC. Some diehards stuck to it in the States, I beleive, hence the inaccurate term used here of "Yank scale." |

I think Gladiator games count. And 54mm DBA is indeed very pracrical and appealing.. Phil |
