I seem to recall seeing some Italians in red. It would require more digging to be sure.

As I recall for SYW there were two Italian regular line infantry units – Royale Italian and Royal Corse – in white, but the French did raise a bunch of short-lived units during the war who had a pretty wide range of uniforms

14 battalions of line infantry in white (slightly off white, really) and 6 in coloured coats. These include Etranger battalions as well as Grenadiers de France.

I won't add in the various light battalions because, well, they're beneath a gentleman's notice & who cares what coats they wear?

The cavalry are about half: half in white & colours & dragoons in blue or red. Artillerymen, of course, in blue.

Add in the plethora of large, beautiful & vari-coloured flags & my French SYW are a visual delight.
