I really like them. I use their Barbarian Flesh for base coating all the Celts/Britons/Gauls/etc. Works great since many are bare chested, etc.

I use Army Painter's Chainmail for base coating my Romans. Again, it works very well, and helps me get cracking on the minis in a very short time.

One thing that I like about these colour primers is that Army Painter matched them to colours already in their line. This, if you found you missed a spot when priming, or need to touch up an area on a mini, you can do that and know you'll have a colour match with no issues.

On the downside, you need to use these colour primers either out of doors, or with a spray booth. Afterward, it's important to let the minis outgas for at least 24 hours, and preferably 48 before adding acrylic paint over top. Don't ask me how I know. grin

All in all I like them very much and have several cans to hand for various projects.

Hmm. My usual hedge. I've used them and like them, but the further you get from priming in neutral colors, the more careful you have to be with the next coat.

In 15mm or smaller, I can black prime, damp-brush white, and start applying color. Anything not white is in shadow. This does not work well when I prime in French Blue. There I've done coats and maybe trousers in one step, but I need to be very careful about the backpack, and more so yet on face and hands.

Buy them and use them--but think through the rest of the painting process before you start priming.

Any flat spray works fine as a primer, including these.

Have used them a bit and find them quite useful

I have had a very, very bad experience with Army Painter primers and I would recommend avoiding them.

They can speed up painting.

I do not like priming models with black anymore for several reasons.

One when you want to paint in brighter colors priming in black dulls out the bright colors that you want.

They do work as these videos show.
