I've heard of two of them. I've seen only one. 🤷

You're ahead of me, OFM. Tried and abandoned For Whom the Bell Tolls as a book, and Confidential Agent sounds familiar--but again,as a book title. (Some of the Hemingway short stories set in the SCW are the last good Hemingway--dishonest, but good stories.)

Generally, I've read on it, but it feels like a war where no one's on my side--limited democratic government--and as a wargame period, it's WWII with the interesting bits removed.

I guess you have to have been there.

Does anyone know the title of a film about a young nun with religious relics hiding in a brothel from rabid republicans that ends up joining the prostitutes in an anarchist fighting unit? It had great combat scenes were they were overrun by a Moroccan force.

I am afraid I don't
I read For whom the bell tolls in high school and was pleasantly surprised. Of course I had a great lit teacher. Never saw the film.
Never heard of any others on the list.

Recently they made a zombie movie set during the SCW, It actually is quite good. Can't remember the name but I hope it made it for the poll.
