Back when I was in my late 20s, I was working the afternoon shift at work. I'd be home by 12 and there was this "show/move" called Blakes 7 on PBS every night. I'd watch it from beginning to end thinking. It would go on…and on…and on…and on. I use to think, "Gosh the English really love there long science fiction movies and intricate plots with tons of ups and downs."

Years later a friend told me that it was a serial and was not really meant to be watched in one sitting. Yes. I was a binge watcher before binge watching was cool. grin

Loved the show despite the bad acting and extremely poor special effects. The story more than made up for it.

Yes I agree with that.
And the plot of the final episode was very spectacular I think. Not in acting or in special effects, but in the story line. I was so shocked (well I was so much younger then) and never seen something similar like that again…..

Blakes 7 was great. The good guys were the bad guys, and the bad guys were the bad guys as well! Dark.

And it had Servalan……

This list needs some Wild Wild West and some Ironside.

I have no idea why The Monkees are here, but I'm delighted to vote for them just the same.

"Monkee-man, to the rescue!"

(or maybe it is due to their playing soldiers in a foxhole briefly in their 1968 psych-out film "HEAD".)

No Stingray – or did I miss that in the first part?

Not sure about the Monkees, although I once wrote them into an adventure that I never ran.

Still my favorite rock group.
