Darkover – weirdest game I've ever played. I don't think we ever completed a game after multiple tries. It was just too odd. |

As with most of these titles, the silliness is dependent on the company involved. |

I actively seek out weird and silly games at conventions. Unfortunately they tend to be "house rules" and so don't appear on this list. That said, I used to spend many an idle hour playing Junta with friends. Shockingly, beer was involved. |

Jahru – the Game of Death A Wally Simon sports game, with 35mm plastic basketball players on what appeared to be a gridded hockey rink with no ice. I finished the season as the Inter-Galactic Super Champion. |

Slargeball, combat sport played with 54mm Airfix DAK and 8th Army figures. I believe there were inconsequential "rules" having to do with scoring points, but mostly we had sticks. BIG sticks. And we knew how to use them. |

Played AGTFOS in a Hotel ballroom. Players were the pieces, and the board was marked on the floor with Tape. Folks were pulled in from the side to be Green Things. |

I voted "Other" for the medieval game into which my buddy and I injected a spaceship load of hungry bugs looking for "humans on the half shell." It got even better when the players kept fighting among themselves instead of ganging up against the bugs. Jim |
