"Generiky?" Really? As though English didn't already have enough problems with meaning and spelling. May I suggest "eclectic?" |

Blame it on the Space Orks! Eclectic works too. That should also nicely cover your approach of 'I have a toybox full of space toys and like to play with them all at once' approach. That had long been my primary SF gaming in 6mm. Thanks to massive buckets of OGRE plastics from Kickstarter and years of hunting out affordable unseen Ral Partha Battlemechs, I now play those games in their own universes with some odds and ends tucked in. |

"Generic" is an adjective. There is no need to add "ky" to it to make it into what it already is! Take out the "ky" and *nothing* changes from the meaning of the sentence, except it becomes marginally *more* intelligent and 100% more literate. As for my answer, Generic Science Fiction fits the bill as my preferred look, but I like all the others, too. By "generic" I mean some sort of armored individual troops (well, human/humanoid troops), futuristic tanks (some anti-grav, some not), aircraft, etc.. (Ogre/GEV has a solid look to it, though for reasons of "game" backed by a lampshade "logical" rationale it has no aerial units of any kind.) But other sources are fine, too. Think Traveller, Starship Troopers, Space Opera, Space Viking, etc., etc.— it's all good. |
