I've seen almost none of those, other than the SS (unpopular for a different range of reasons), French and Norwegians (I have some myself).

Belgians weren't mentioned in the pre-poll discussion.

The poll had a category "Other- Please explain". So I did. Did not see the pre-poll, Jim.

Belgians are popular around these parts — I have a Bolt Action force for them, plus Belgian SAS with my Canadians. (After Falaise, the Belgian SAS couldn't stay behind the lines fast enough to help organise Resistance work, so they were assigened as a recon unit with the Canadian army.)

Not to put too sharp a point on it, but while Ireland did have an army in WWII (and given the size of Ireland, a reasonably big army) the Republic of Ireland was not a combatant

I assume we are talking about them being unpopular to historical wargamers. I was having a hard time deciding between this is ridiculous or all of the above. Some of these countries were neutral. I would say the most unpopular would be Vichy, PLA, Thailand, or any Latin American country.

I think only countries you can actually buy figures for and put together at least one squad should be in this poll.

Only one Latin American country sent troops. Brazil was quite active in both the Atlantic as well as a division in Italy. I believe American troops and equipment were used.
