I find that I acquire many and print the ones or parts of ones that I will be using. They are great to do cut and paste when creating scenarios for players giving them just what they need for the particular game. I download and back up to two external hard drives so as to protect my investment.

I have 4 very elderly iPads That can be loaded with Pdf rules. Along with the current iPad and house computers I believe the rules are available in all players in digital form in a convenient form in my place.

Surely one for each anticipated player?

Robert, PDF versions of rules are typically very inexpensive. No reason each player can't purchase their own if they are really interested in the game. I'll print QRSes for each player, but no way I'm wasting paper and toner printing out multiple copies of something I can read on the Tablet. REDUCE, re-use, recycle.

Pardon me if I offended your religion, doubleones. For myself, I prefer to know the rules of the game I'm expected to play.

Well said RP.

I only game solo, zero need to print PDFs.

I don't have an issue with any answers here, since I only get printed rules.
I can't be bothered to pay for rules and have to print them up myself.
Problem solved.

The median number is probably zero. If I print, I often print only parts, but on occasion I've printed multiple full copies.

For most, none at all. For a rare few 1 or maybe 1/2, as I don't bother printing stuff which isn't actually useful in play.

So I chose one, even though it's not quite really one for each…

I print two or three copies, figuring that I will lose at least one of them. I don't have a tablet. If I did, I would still print the rules.

As many copies of any QRS as there are players. Plus one copy of the full rules minimum. Depending on the thickness, probably at least one more full copy. That way several people can be looking stuff up while we learn the game and play.

I print one for game day – send PDF copies to the players

doubleones I completely agree. I will print out QRS and necessary scenario information but if they want the rules they can buy them.

I voted other. more often than not I only print the QRS x as many players. Rules that I've decided to try out only the QRS rules I like after test plays I either print out of buy a hard copy. Cost between the two seems to be about the same.

I've found many PDFs are not much cheaper than the printed one mostly you save on shipping.
