I once played in a 1916 scenario with a patrol of US cavalry against a slightly larger force of mounted Villistas. Admittedly, I dismounted one squad to give fire support but it was a mounted charge by the Americans that won the day. LT |

I can't believe people have done cavalry vs cavalry battles. There is a huge amount of armies historically that fielded large numbers of mounted troops, right across the steppe and through the middle east (the all important geographic pivot of history area) that all fought each other. I played Parthians vs Scythians the other day. Or am I just confused, this poll being only for Renaissance+ wargamers? |
