Well, I picked a couple. But I'd only really be interested if it were a science fiction or fantasy convention. If it were a wargaming convention and they were the big draws, I'd stay home and leave the show to the RPG crowd.

Novik would be a good wargaming speaker as the first Temeraire novel drew heavily on Chandler's The Campaigns of Napoleon, so she's reasonably versed on the historical end of her fantasy.

Novik also really thought through the use of dragons as essentially "gunships" of a sort, and the idea of them being crewed with multiple men fulfilling similar roles to men on a ship. (And it's clear she researched naval vessels and tactics of the era as well.) Closest thing to a fantasy Patrick O'Brian. Not quite his calibre, put still pretty dang good. So yes, she'd be an interesting voice to hear from.
